Mourning the Loss of a Good Friend and Family Member

To know Russell I believe you should know a little of his history, Russell was born on August 18th in 1944. He was placed in the Joseph H. Ladd Center where he became acquainted with ChristineandRay Snow. Over the next 30 years a bond was formed that has been proven to be unbreakable by life’s many challenges. Despite being separated, at times for years, they always found their way back to each other. During this time Christine and Ray kept one simple promise that would later change Russell’s life.

4 RIC Accounting Students Give Free Income Tax Filing Assistance

RIC accounting students, including Perspectives' own Program Manager Jeremy Gears, Audrey Maia, Ryan Marsh and Jawaad Shafique are serving a vital role in the community as volunteers for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). VITA offers free tax help to people who generally make $53,000 or less as well as persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their tax returns.

Supporting Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Current Trends and Models, Symposium April 2-3

On April 2nd and 3rd, The Groden Network will host a two-day symposium entitled: Supporting Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Current Trends and Models, at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence.

Bob Kidd (M.S., BCBA), Giana Gray (M.Ed., BCBA), and Shannon Ciccone (M.Ed., BCBA) - clinicians from the Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention Program at Perspectives Corporation in North Kingstown - will offer viewers a closer look at the methods utilized to develop functional language skills in children with ASD.

Michael Jackson Performance to Benefit Perspectives Special Olympics Sports Team

Please join Perspectives for a special performance by Rhode Island's very own (and very talented!) Michael Jackson impersonator, Mark Fisher.

Mark will perform at the South Kingstown High School auditorium on Thursday, April 23, from 11am to 12:30pm. The cost is $5.00 for Perspectives participantsandemployees, and $6.00 for the general public.

Proceeds will benefit the Perspectives Special Olympics Sports Team, and Sign Language interpretation will be provided.
