Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Services
Perspectives Corporation is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our growing team of Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing professionals.
PROGRAMS DESCRIPTION
Perspectives provides an array of therapeutic services accessible to individuals who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing in Rhode Island from in-home early intervention programs to adult programs. Our specialized team is proficient in American Sign Language, or are native users.
We are thrilled about expanding our Deaf and Hard of Hearing services by opening a new residential program and providing enhanced supports to Deaf/HoH individuals in several other programs within the central Rhode Island areas.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a full time position for candidates with a BS Degree in Nursing and experience working with people who are Deaf/HoH with special healthcare needs. Responsible for coordination of individual healthcare, work with multidisciplinary team, provide patient teaching and staff in-service trainings. Responsible for ensuring that agency and policies and procedures are implemented correctly and that the individuals served live valued and high quality lives. Flexible hours to work daytime and evening hours.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have a current RI nursing license. Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and have familiarity and comfort with Deaf culture. Knowledge of current nursing standards, psychotropic meds, and excellent interpersonal skills and documentation skills required.
