Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention

Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), this intensive therapy provides children the opportunity to practice and develop a variety of skills in our supportive, center-based environment, including:

  • Learning Readiness (memory skills, following directions)
  • Intermediate and Advanced Language
  • Theory of Mind (thinking, planning, problem solving)
  • Independent Living (dressing skills, personal hygiene skills)

These skills intertwine to build a complex language repertoire that allow for children diagnosed with Autism to reach their maximum potential.

Each child's program is individually developed and monitored by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is delivered by highly trained personnel on a one-on-one basis.

HOW TO APPLY

Under the Rhode Island Autism Mandate, application to a CEDAR Family Center is not required to qualify for center-based treatment, but is recommended.

Once you have obtained your child's official diagnosis of autism your family will be referred to a CEDAR partner, such as Perspectives Corporation, for the development and implementation of your child's autism services.
