Sign Language Classes in Rhode Island

Have you ever wanted to learn another language? Are you seeking to expand your resume, acquire a new skill, or improve the skills you already have?

Perspectives Corporation offers American Sign Language (ASL) classes, at levels ranging from beginner to advanced, in a friendly, fun and supportive environment at our locations in Warwick and North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

Professional Development

Perspectives ASL classes are designed to help professionals who support children, adolescents and adults who use sign language as a primary means of communication. Teachers, parents, family members, friends and caregivers will also benefit greatly from taking these classes as they build the necessary skills to communicate with the Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing person.


Student Testimonials

Registration & Participation

Adults and youth ages 16 and up are eligible to register for American Sign Language classes at Perspectives Corporation. Classes meet once per week, for 2 hours, and continue for 10 weeks. Registrations are accepted online.

Certificate of Completion & CEU Credits

URI is a sole higher education partner with Perspectives Corporation in the awarding of a Certificate of Completion with CEU credits. Each person must complete at least one CEU unit, which requires a minimum of ten contact hours of participation that is verified by Perspectives Corporation, in order to be granted any CEUs. Additional hours beyond the first ten will also be annotated on the Certificate.

Cost of Classes and Materials

Cost per student: $150

To receive a refund, students must withdraw within 7 days of the first class. $25.00 of student tuition is a non-refundable processing fee.

Cost of a book used for all levels: $85

Certificate of Completion: $25 (Optional)
