With a living arrangement to call their own, such as an apartment or other type of home, Independent Living teaches individuals the everyday skills they need to lead their unique lifestyle. They’ll go through their days with confidence as they learn skills such as:
Perspectives will assess, identify, and address areas of risk within the program to keep individuals safe and promote good health, independence, and opportunity to live a life of their own making. Supports are also provided to assist individuals in taking advantage of social opportunities and adult learning. Perspectives may also assist in arranging the appropriate health care services for each individual, though individuals generally choose their medical doctor and dental services themselves.
