Perspectives Deaf and Hard of Hearing Independent Living program supports those who have their own living situation in the community.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing people also have the ability to use our Independent Living Services. In this program, people live in their own living situation that does not require 24/7 care (no overnight support). They will have access to a service coordinator and other services that can provide direct support in ASL.
Perspectives will work with the people to manage areas of risk, promote good health and independence, and enjoy social opportunities and learning experiences (for example, household chores, money management, and more). Perspectives will also assist in arranging appropriate health care services and making sure all accommodations in health care appointments for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people are in place through education and advocacy.
